Last Chance Lowers: Fantasy Surfer
Well all you kids can breath a great sigh of relief at the moment as trading is still (momentarily) open for the Boost Mobile Pro pres. by Hurley. That’s right, event No. 7 on the 2008 ASP World Tour went on hold yesterday so if you’ve picked up some insider information in the last 24 hours, now is the time to capitalize on it. Get your votes in immediately though as it looks like the boys will be hitting the water in a couple of hours.
Justine DuPont Crowned ASP European Women’s Champion
Justine Dupont (Lacanau, FRA), 17, clinched the 2008 Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) European Women’s title after placing second in the ASP WQS 3-Star Pantin Classic in Spain. Dupont, who who had to place third or better in the final to clinch the prestigious title ahead of Pauline Ado (FRA), came up with solid surfing posting an average of 15.00 points (out of a possible 20) per heat during the 3-day event.

The floodgates have opened and last week was a spattering of ASP WQS action from around the globe. With multiple events on at the same time, the results flew in hot and heavy and there has been movement inside the upper echelons of the ’QS as our athletes continue to build their campaigns towards Dream Tour qualification in ’09.
