Rockhampton Fishing Report - 2009/11/23 08:14 Hi there I'm Dean Ruff from Kalka Bait and Tackle and here's what's been happening around the waters over the last week or so.

With the weather dropping out to the end of last week it was looking good for the boaties to get off shore. From some of the reports coming back, it was still rough on the water with a lot of boaties getting to the ramp and coming home disappointed.

The river has still been producing some nice fish with a heap of Barra being caught and released in the city as it is closed season for barra at the moment and the season doesn't open till 1st November. Apart from the Barra there has been a lot of activity around the Nerimbera area with Crabs being the main target with no fish being reported.

Keppel Sands has still been producing some nice fish with the Coorooman Creek system producing some good flathead in fair numbers with two customers reporting a nice haul of 6 being caught on soft plastics. Other reports coming through are that the Crabs are also on the chew in Coorooman.

That's what's been happening around the place lately, just remember you can call in to Kalka Bait and Tackle and see me to get your photo's taken of any fish you catch to be issued in future weekly pages, along with any fishy tales to share with other keen anglers.
