Synoptic Situation
A trough will move across southern Queensland during Saturday and off the south
coast at night.
Strong Wind Warning
Bowen to Sandy Cape
Expect NW winds to increase to 25/30 knots at times, mainly over offshore waters
during Saturday. Seas rising to 2.5 metres offshore.
Winds easing below 26 knots overnight on Saturday.
UPDATED Strong Wind Warning
Sandy Cape to Point Danger, including Hervey Bay and Moreton Bay.
NW winds increasing to 25/30 knots during Saturday. Seas rising to 2.5 metres.
Winds shifting W/SW 25/30 knots on Saturday night.
The next warning will be issued by 4 pm AEST Friday.
