Coastal Waters Wind Warning
For the South Central and South East Coasts and Spencer Gulf.

Synoptic situation
A cold front is crossing southern coastal waters and will move through northern
Gulf Waters this afternoon. A weak ridge will form south of the Bight during
Saturday and move slowly eastwards.
Strong Wind Warning
For the South Central and South East Coasts and Spencer Gulf.
W/SW winds strengthening to 20/30 knots on the South East Coast this morning,
turning SW/S 20/30 knots and extending to the South Central Coast during the
afternoon and Spencer Gulf in the evening. SW/S winds reaching 25/33 knots south
of Robe in the evening. Seas rising to 2 to 3.5 m. Swell: SW 2 to 3 m.
The next warning will be issued by 4:30 pm CDST.
Please be aware
Wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the averages given here,
and maximum waves may be up to twice the height. [ back ]
